Towards Transboundary Evironmental Assessment Guidelines for the Orange-Senqu River Basin

On the occasion of the World Water Day in March 2011, the Honourable Ministers responsible for water in the Orange-Senqu River Basin recognised the need and instructed the Commission to develop Environmental Assessment (EA) guidelines and procedures for Transboundary projects. The Guidelines are primarily intended for people who have to make decisions on environmental issues through the strategic and impact assessment process; namely: national, provincial/state and local authorities.
